EXPERIENCE
Current: Director of Jax Lovelock Creative
Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, 2017–Present
Freelance Creative Empowerment Coach and Entrepreneur, single Mum of two amazing kids, and passionate about supporting YOU through a process of self-discovery and transformation to BE the unique person you are born to BE. I work with Creatives, Sole-Trader start-ups, Educators and Learners, Community Organisations, Businesses, and people in their everyday lives, helping each individual to SEE their potential and BE their potential. And it’s a LOT of fun!
Business Mentor:
2019 – 2021: Freelance contract with DWP via Pinnacle People to deliver Business Mentoring to those on Job Seekers Allowance / Universal Credit to set up their own business. Completed in 2021 to focus on growing Creative Empowerment Coaching business.
Drama Workshop Leader:
November 2019 and July 2021: Working with BTEC Performing Arts Pupils on Performance Skills, Character Analysis and developing creative ideas.
Community group liaison and support:
- 2020: Delivery of Dewsbury Team Parish Feasibility Study on Potential Community Offers – used by the Team Parish in a successful Cultural Recovery Fund bid to support their work during the Covid 19 Pandemic (funding awarded in November 2020)
- 2019: supporting Dewsbury Team Parish with a successful funding bid (awarded 1 March 2019), to undertake a feasibility study; auditing their current community offer and liaising with other community groups to aid with the development of a future-proof and sustainable strategic plan for the three churches alongside the Parish’s PCC (Governing Body)
- 2018: working with Manasamitra to set up community workshops and culminating performance of the Tea Houses Project and Installation, including photography and video, social media marketing, poster design, workshops support
Project Management and support:
- 2019: redevelopment of “Heckmondlight” social media presence and planning social media engagement
- 2017/18: working with the Managing Director of Dewsbury Dance Centre to set up a new online venture, data input, and website support
Event support and Production:
- 2019: writing funding bids, artistic direction, and planning of the Curiosity Festival with Dewsbury Park Mansion Community Hub held in May 2019 with over 2000 visitors involving local businesses, community groups, and entertainments. This also involved setting up and coaching a team of three Creatives to enable them to deliver drama workshops for local school children, which was then requested to be a part of the National Coal Minings Museum’s Youth Arts Festival.
- 2018: worked with Creative Scene to realise the Dewsbury Christmas Lights event and as Business & Community Engagement Manager, reporting on personal and social media engagement as well as making recommendations for the future
- 2017: Producing and managing Dewsbury’s Christmas Lights Switch On Event with less than £3k funding and 2 weeks notice
Website Content Organisation and Creation:
- 2019-2020: Working with Dewsbury Team Parish on a complete redesign of their website to ensure it is fit for community use
- 2019: creating a website for BCM Stars Majorettes to engage the local community, increase volunteer & member participation, and support fundraising efforts – launched in Spring 2019
- 2018: working with Dewsbury Team Parish to organise their content-heavy website into a more manageable and user-friendly format, promoting events and increasing use of building by the local community. Following phases included working with the Team to develop Marketing and in the creation of a brief for a full website redesign to be launched in Spring 2020
Drama Support:
- 2008 – 2019: working with staff and pupils at St Paul’s School for Girls (Edgbaston, Birmingham) on understanding and improvement of written elements of GCSE Drama exam
Director of Artsphere Ltd and ReBloom Designs
Birmingham, 2005–2016
Co-founder of Artsphere Ltd, a multi-disciplinary agency delivering digital and media services to the creative industries, as well as musical services. Founder of ReBloom Designs, creating upcycled gifts, artwork, and homeware, designed to uplift and support wellbeing.

Reporting to and assisting Associate Producer, liaising with Director, Technical Director, Creative and Production Teams, professional and community casts (over 100 members from various backgrounds and ethnic groups), crew and Harewood House staff and marketing team to realise the production of the show:
- Worked with Harewood education teams to encourage community visits to the estate and the show
- Supported the delivery of cultural awareness workshops from visiting speakers and dignitaries (specifically related to the 200th Anniversary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade)
- Identifying a need to support cast with writing biographies in time for publication deadline
- Collating production information for Harewood House records

Make It Happen School (October 2017)
Creative Scene training course delivered by internationally renowned outdoor events company Walk the Plank. Learning outdoor production planning and skills including lantern making, fire drawing, writing Event Management Plans, liaising with the local council, community groups and businesses to create an early evening event that attracted an audience of over 500 people to the centre of Dewsbury.
